Two factories dominate the super-clone Submariner conversation: VS Factory and Clean Factory. Both build excellent watches, but they make different trade-offs. Here's how they compare on the details that matter.
Movement
Both run a clone of the 3235. In our experience VSF's movement holds a more stable beat over time, while Clean's is slightly easier to regulate out of the box. Either will keep good time with the 2-year warranty behind it.
Case & bezel
VSF tends to lead on case finishing — the transition between brushed and polished surfaces is cleaner. Clean's bezel action is excellent, with a crisp 120-click feel. Lume plots are strong on both.
Verdict
For most buyers, VSF is the safer pick on finishing and movement stability. If you specifically want the crispest bezel action, Clean is worth a look. We carry the references we think win on balance.
