The Air-King is the most visually distinctive watch in the Rolex sports range — and one of the most recognisable for exactly the reasons collectors either love or debate: the oversized 3, 6 and 9 Arabic numerals alongside a dense alternating minute track, the yellow Rolex crown logo and the antimagnetic case architecture. A convincing Rolex Air-King replica must nail the dial balance, which is its entire identity.
VS Factory's Air-King runs a cloned 3230-type automatic inside a 40mm Oyster case. The movement hacks, hand-winds and carries a 2-year warranty. The dial uses a matte black finish with luminous Chromalight-style plots on the Arabic numerals and the minute-track indices, and the case specification includes the paramagnetic green parachrom hairspring matching the antimagnetic intent of the genuine ref. 126900.
The dial printing is where the Air-King is most demanding as a super clone build. The large Arabic numerals must be printed at correct weight without bleeding or uneven edges; the minute track must use the alternating bar-and-pip pattern at correct spacing; and the yellow Rolex crown logo must be the right weight and proportionally positioned. VSF checks all three as named items in the QC photographs sent before dispatch.
The Air-King is 40mm and wears similarly to the Explorer — clean, modern and not oversized. The Oyster bracelet uses brushed centre links and polished outer links, with the standard Crownclasp. It is one of the most wearable and characterful daily super clones in the Rolex catalogue.
As a lower-retail-price genuine Rolex relative to the Submariner or Daytona, the Air-King attracts buyers who want strong visual character without the eye-catching status of the diver family. Its clean casework and proven 3230-clone movement also make it an excellent first super clone.
