Sky-Dweller super clone

The most complicated Rolex

About the Sky-Dweller

The Sky-Dweller is the most complicated Rolex in regular production: an annual calendar, a second time zone displayed on an off-centre 24-hour disc, and the Ring Command bezel for setting both complications without a pusher or tool. Cloning the Sky-Dweller correctly is the most demanding build in the VSF range.

VS Factory's Sky-Dweller runs a clone of the 9001-type movement — the caliber that powers all three complications in the genuine watch. The annual calendar displays the current month via 12 small apertures around the outer chapter ring; the active month is highlighted and advances automatically, requiring only one manual correction per year in late February. The 24-hour disc at 6 o'clock distinguishes day from night in the second time zone.

The Ring Command bezel is the unique setting interface: rotating the bezel selects which complication to adjust, then the crown sets it. VSF's clone replicates the three-position bezel engagement with a distinct detent feel for each setting mode. This is the detail that separates a Sky-Dweller super clone from an accurate-looking but non-functional replica.

We carry the Sky-Dweller in 42mm with blue, black and white dials in both steel and two-tone configurations. The case uses a combination of brushed and polished surfaces — fluted bezel, polished lugs, brushed case body — a more complex finishing specification than any other reference in the Rolex range.

Every Sky-Dweller order is dispatched with setup notes explaining the Ring Command bezel operation. QC photographs cover the month apertures, the 24-hour disc alignment and the bezel detent function. We confirm the complications are operating correctly before approving dispatch.

Sky-Dweller — common questions

Yes — the annual calendar and dual-time function are both operational via the Ring Command bezel, as on the genuine Rolex. The month apertures advance automatically through 11 months and require a single correction in late February or early March. Each order ships with setup notes.
The Ring Command bezel is Rolex's setting interface on the genuine Sky-Dweller: rotating it to one of three positions selects which complication is set by the crown. VSF's clone replicates the three-position engagement with a distinct detent feel for each mode.
A clone of the 9001-type caliber — the in-house movement Rolex uses in the genuine Sky-Dweller. It drives the annual calendar, the 24-hour dual-time display and the standard time with running seconds. It carries the same 2-year movement warranty as all VS Factory watches.
We carry blue, black and white dials in 42mm, in stainless steel and two-tone (steel and yellow or rose gold-tone). Both the Oyster and Jubilee bracelet options are available in selected configurations.
The Ring Command bezel has a short learning curve but is logical once explained. We include written setup instructions with every order. The annual calendar requires only one manual correction per year, so day-to-day operation is the same as any other automatic — wind, set the time and wear.
